The Work

Four ventures, one throughline.

Capital, stewardship, and education — each built to compound over decades, not quarters.

Brook Church-Koegel's work runs through four ventures, and each one is built on the same idea. Alpha Capital Management is the capital: an asset management firm that invests as a co-GP alongside institutional investors. Alpha Asset Holdings is the stewardship: his personal holding company and the foundation of his family office. The Insurance Education Institute and Advisors Edge are the education: two platforms affiliated with ACM that give financial professionals real fluency in the quantitative investment methods behind the products they sell. Different businesses, one throughline — building things that last.

01 · Capital

Alpha Capital Management

Alpha Capital Management, LLC (ACM) is an asset management firm that grew out of the fund Brook Church-Koegel launched in 2018 and was formed in California in 2020; he serves as its Founder and CEO. Based in El Segundo, California, the firm invests as a co-GP alongside institutional investors, and Brook leads its strategy, growth, and partner relationships.

Co-GP describes where the firm sits in a private investment. In many structures, a general partner sponsors and runs the investment while limited partners supply most of the capital passively. A co-GP invests at the general-partner level, alongside the lead sponsor — sharing in the work and the risk rather than sitting outside as a passive investor. ACM's own framing is that alignment is the strategy: its capital is committed next to the institutions it invests beside, the discipline comes from a founder who has been a consultant, an operator, and a private-equity investor, and the horizon is long, with the firm's ownership anchored in Alpha Asset Holdings.

The firm grew out of the first fund Brook launched in 2018, after more than a decade across management consulting to hedge funds and private equity firms, an operating role improving performance for a high-end fitness chain, and several years in the insurance and real estate divisions of a national private equity firm. Through its two affiliated education platforms, the Insurance Education Institute and Advisors Edge, ACM also works directly with financial professionals to build fluency in quantitative investment methods.

02 · Stewardship

Alpha Asset Holdings

Alpha Asset Holdings, LLC (AAH) is the personal holding company of Brook Church-Koegel and the foundation of his family office. Its core investment is his ownership stake in Alpha Capital Management. Brook's ownership in ACM is held through AAH — which is what the firm means when it describes its ownership as anchored for the long term.

Durable firms are built by owners, not tenants.

Brook built AAH after more than a decade of experience across management consulting, operations, and private equity. He launched his first fund in 2018; that fund grew into ACM and, in turn, into AAH. Today he continues to build AAH as the long-term foundation of his family's wealth.

The instinct behind it goes back further than his career. As a boy in El Segundo, California, he served as president of Tree Musketeers — what would become known as the world's first nonprofit organization founded by kids and run by kids — from 1987 to 1994, and remained an active volunteer for more than two decades afterward. AAH is the next chapter of that same long-term thinking: building something durable across generations.

03 · Education

Insurance Education Institute

The Insurance Education Institute (IEI) was built to give financial professionals real fluency in quantitative investment methods. It is one of two education platforms affiliated with Alpha Capital Management, and its mission was shaped directly by its founder, Brook Church-Koegel.

The conviction behind it came from his own career. Management consulting to hedge funds and private equity firms, operations leadership with a high-end fitness chain, and several years across the insurance and real estate divisions of a national private equity firm showed him firsthand how much of an edge comes from financial professionals genuinely understanding the tools they use.

That conviction led directly to IEI: education built by practitioners, for practitioners. Its founder's commitment to building institutions that last started early. As president of Tree Musketeers from 1987 to 1994, he learned what it takes to lead an organization with integrity.

Advisors Edge

Advisors Edge exists to sharpen how financial professionals think about quantitative methods. Brook Church-Koegel founded it to close a gap he saw repeatedly in the industry: professionals selling and advising on strategies they didn't fully understand.

An edge that's earned, not assumed.

Advisors Edge is his answer — practical, direct education for advisors who want an edge that's earned, not assumed. Like the Insurance Education Institute, it is affiliated with ACM and works directly with financial professionals to build fluency in quantitative investment methods. His own LinkedIn headline puts the same idea in plainer words: helping advisors stop leaving money on the table.

Four ventures, then, and one throughline. A firm that invests as co-GP alongside institutions. A holding company built to carry that ownership across generations. Two platforms that teach the methods behind the products financial professionals sell. Each is built to compound over decades, not quarters — and each traces back to a boy in El Segundo who learned early what it takes to build and steward an organization responsibly.
